Though delayed, I thought I should comment on the plebiscite result. I respect the outcome of the vote and thank everyone who took time to vote. That is way the process works, and I am very thankful for our system whenever something I see something like this happening.
On another note, I see that June 26 is National Canoe Day. I agree that the canoe is really a pan-Canadian symbol and a great activity. Pierre Burton has a well known quote that a Canadian is "somebody who knows how to make love in a canoe." If that was part of the citizenship test, I can't say for certain I'd pass. I have only been out once this year. By myself.
