Today was a good day for the residents of Edson and area with Minister of State (Transportation) and Yellowhead MP Rob Merrifield & MLA Robin Campbell here to make a funding announcement. $5.4 Million will be coming to assist completing the airport road and paving connecting to 63rd Street and for building a new museum for the community.
This will provide a significant benefit to the community and I want to thank Minister Merrifield, MLA Campbell for the support. I also want to thank the town staff who ensured the Federal and Provincial Governments had what they needed to support these projects.
As Mayor Greg mentioned at the announcement, we will probably ask for more support on future projects, but today we will be thankful.
